Intention

I was thinking this morning about how we turn our "intentions" into "reality". All of us have dreams but fewer achieve. Why is this and what can we do to increase our likelihood of living the life we have been called to and the life we want?
Here's one habit that I know helps.

For the X'Sters (guys I personally coach) we use a process called Post It Monday / Finish IT Friday. It's a rhythm I learnt from a good friend of mine Taki Moore.
Each Monday we post our top objectives for the week. For some it could be sales based, others ops or people, health, cash etc! The point is not so much the content (although important) but more so the process.
Don't start your week rushed & busy (activity based). Start your week focused & strategic (outcome based). Writing down and visualising your goals (as simple or as complex as they may be) increases your chance of success by anywhere by 1.2 - 1.4 times (that's more than double). See Forbes article https://www.forbes.com/sites/markmurphy/2018/04/15/neuroscience-explains-why-you-need-to-write-down-your-goals-if-you-actually-want-to-achieve-them/?fbclid=IwAR2anTj5BEyaFoCOpcC9iw7dlfA_UlZp-RF4Y3vExBPMnhbk2qNjav1_Rok#2fbe4cfd7905

At the end of the week, share how you went and any other wins. We call this Finish IT Friday (FIF) Celebrating your wins lifts you and others around you. Most importantly it teaches your brain to win. It teaches you to achieve your outcomes.
Will you notice any difference when you first start this? Answer is probably not. Will you notice any difference longer term? The answer is definitely yes! Think about it. There are people in your world where you would say, "Whatever they set their mind to they achieve." This doesn't happen by accident, this is what you become when you rhythmically implement these disciplines into your life (that will eventually become habit). Remember that discipline (hard work) always comes before habit (rhythm). Discipline is by its very nature hard work. It's less of a #lifehack and more of an ancient truth. Without it we decay!

There's an old Hebrew Proverb that says, "Death is the reward of an undisciplined life." Proverbs 5:23.

The purpose is not condemnation but an exhortation to live your best life. .

I am convinced that it is our understanding of Godly Ancient Truths that will ultimately bring about New Life!
I do a version of this daily and found it beneficial for my life and I hope it helps you too.
Now do it!

Now (seriously!) Remember don't leave a point of inspiration without an action of perspiration!

If there was a theme for this it would be "intention". Think and live intentionality.

For those of you who are interested in finding out more about the X'Sters send a PM with the message "X'Sters" and we’ll get in contact with you.

May you sense the hand of God on you today! I believe my God given purpose is to encourage and practically equip the next generation of Christian business leaders. May your overflow bless many.
